Catwalk queen

24 Jun

In her cute pink dress
she spun around with glee
‘mummy, mummy, look at me
i am a princess and i’ll also be queen’
only ten with the world under feet,
eyes bright
with hope they shine,
for she wanted to be
the catwalk queen

sixteen already
growing into a stunning young lady
starts to attend to fashion
of style, she becomes an icon
the first steps to her making
the catwalk queen awaiting unveiling

twenty now
wherever she goes
the eyes follow
gorgeous face
breathtaking body
tantalising walk
oozing grace and glamor

camera, lights and action
the face of one and every publication
twirling around in the flutterin dress
on the runway the envy of the rest
she evolved to be the crémé de la crémé
the best ever catwalk queen

the men, fame and fortune
the parties, trips and lavishing
her one way ticket to extinction
her path to the land of damnation

her picture the face of perfection,
even as it graced the page of obituaries
glamorous till the end
died in a car crash
enroute to an exclusive party
the sun set on her as fast as it rose
only twenty three and already six feet deep
